Nutella Stuffed Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies? Yes. Sea Salt with dark chocolate? Always. Stuffed with Nutella? Are you kidding me?

This may be the best combo ever… and they taste as good as they sound. Healthy? No but in a new world of green juices, chia puddings and super food salads, sometimes you need a gooey nutella-stuffed-sea-salt-chocolate-chip-cookie. And they’re super easy to make – score!

Hautelist: Christmas Gifts for Foodies

As we are officially one month away from Christmas, this week we will be making your present buying much easier! We’ve put together some tailored gift lists depending on whether your loved ones are real foodies, globetrotters or would just love something new to wear or use. Everything we have picked is basically what we would like to see for ourselves under the tree (we hope certain people are reading this!!!) so we have really scoured the web for you – if you like our taste in other things, then all you’ll need to do is click and buy and we hope your family and friends will like what you’ve chosen – let us know if they go down well!!

Haute Eats: Bobo Social

There’s a glut of burger joints in The Big Smoke. It’s not an exaggeration to say that, like Starbucks, there seems to be one on every street corner. There are some we love: the dirty burgers at Meatliquor with their squidgy, soft buns and deep fried pickles on the side, the gourmet grown-up treats at Burger & Lobster, and the epically monikered hamburgers at Patty & Bun (the Ari Gold is the winner). There are some we’re less fussed about however they will remain nameless.

 

So when we heard about Bobo Social we sighed with burger fatigue. Another one? But wait. We sighed too soon.

Haute Eats: Fera at Claridges

Michelin star dining in London can be stiffer than a starched white cravat. The layers of complex cutlery, the endless processions of amuse bouche, and the eerily quiet rooms where you can hear a parmesan tuile crack.

Don’t get us wrong, we’ve been blessed to eat in such fine establishments, but we’ve long searched for a restaurant that serves top quality nosh minus the pomp.

Step in Simon Rogan. To quote his lovely website verbatim Simon is “one of the most accomplished and well respected chefs in the UK”. You might remember him from the Great British Menu where he nabbed the dessert crown in season 7, or you might know that he’s famed for foraging. Either way we think he’s a bit of a legend and jumped for joy to get a table at his London outpost Fera.

Haute Bakes: Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting

We love Autumn, or ‘Fall’ if you’re reading this across the pond. Specifically we love October with its deep copper leaves crunching underfoot, and the excuse it gives you to nurse steaming mugs of rich hot chocolate (with marshmallows on top right?)

Most of all though, we love it because it brings with it one of the best holidays: Hallowe’en! Maybe it’s because we were the kids that fully embraced the dress-up box, or maybe it’s because of a tween/teenage predilection for Goosebumps, Tim Burton and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Most likely it’s down to the fact that it’s a holiday centred around sugar.
