It’s no secret that we are addicted to Space NK – it’s basically the (better!) London version of Sephora and has all our favourite beauty brands under one roof, which makes popping in and spending on our NDulge card far too easy to do! You’re paying for quality at Space NK and for skincare it’s often worth the investment to break away from those Simple Cleansing Wipes and give your skin an upgrade.
We’ve noticed ours needing some extra TLC from the mix of ice-cold wind and stuffy central heating so we’re taking a bit more time to look after it to improve the dullness and minimise those pores. Here’s our list of best products and tools to take you through our best Make Up Removers, through to Cleaners, Exfoliators, Moisturisers and Serums. Your fast track to get the glow….
Make Up Removers
Our night-time ritual is extensive when we’re behaving ourselves, but often it’s just a case of getting rid of make-up and dirt from a day of commuting and working in Central London. These are our favourites that make it easy to clean off the day.
We use some of these in the shower, otherwise they’re a good way to start the day before you put your make up on.
Around once a week I like to use an exfoliating scrub to really cleanse out the pores and brush away the dead skin – it’s the best way to achieve that radiant glow and feel really squeaky clean!
The biggest issue at this time of year is dry skin – it’s the changing temperatures, the constant central heating and general cold weather – everyone suffers from it and we find ourselves slathering on the moisturiser to prevent that tight flakey feeling. These are our current favourites:
Finally our favourite must have – the serum. We have night serums, day serums, flight serums… the list is endless. They generally are the best under make up as they pull the pores together and give you a really even surface, and they allow your skin to soak in so much more of your moisturiser which we love. We tend to focus on the radiance boosting ones (plenty of time for anti-aging surely…?!). Serums are generally not cheap, but they adhere pretty strictly to that mantra of “a little goes a long way” and they tend to last me quite a few months per little bottom – you only really need a drop.
Go get your glow on!
